Salon.com’s Interesting Report

In a recent blog, Matt of The Whomping Willows posts an excerpt from salon.com covering Phoenix Rising. “It’s not every day that you see a bunch of twenty-something musicians singing ambisexual songs while women bellow their lusty adoration,” says the website. The also refer to Alex of The Remus Lupins as a “gangly heartthrob.” Read the blog here or check out the article.

I think the varying descriptions of Alex were hilarious and so so horrible.

“I asked the puppyish Carpenter if the hordes of boys and girls hanging on him throughout the conference meant that wizard rock has helped him score some horntail.”

That is just wrong. So wrong. Yet it totally sounds like something I’d say (but not in print, mind you).

Also, since when has Matt been “a sturdy fellow”? It makes him sound like Sam Gamgee or something.

SCORE SOME HORNTAIL? Is that supposed to be…a good thing?

It wouldn’t let me get to the whole article because I “didn’t subscribe” so I only saw what Matt posted in his blog.

    Haha, Kim, you’re funny.

“It makes him sound like Sam Gamgee or something.”

Kim, my friends used to tease me all the time for looking a lot like Sean Astin when he played Sam Gamgee. In fact, just to shut them up about it, I agreed to dress up as Sam for one of the movie releases. Not even kidding.

Lizz, read the daggum article. I think Q and I laughed for like ten minutes at the author’s reaction to slashfiction.

Haley, you should be able to read it without subscribing. Get with me on skype, and I’ll send you the link.
